Students will fall on Academic Warning if they earn less than 67% of their semester hours but successfully maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher.

Please note Academic Warning is separate from (but closely related to) Financial Aid Warning. Academically, your semester hours completion rate is calculated at the conclusion of each semester. For Financial Aid, your semester hours completion rate is calculated cumulatively, over the entirety of your time at UNCG.

If you find yourself on Academic Warning, you will need to complete the following requirements:

Successfully earning 67% or more of your semester hours in your term of Academic Warning results in restoration of Academic Good Standing. Failure to earn 67% of your semester hours will result in continuing on Academic Warning for another semester until you reach that benchmark. You can read more about the Academic Warning policy in the UNCG Catalog.

Please note that anytime your cumulative GPA falls below 2.0, you will be placed on Academic Probation, regardless of your semester hours completion rate.
