ARS 120: Academic Connections in Education
Students returning to UNCG after being placed on Academic Suspension are required to enroll and complete ARS 120: Academic Connections in Education, formerly known as the ACE program. Together with an Academic Recovery Specialist, ARS 120 students will explore their strengths, identify strategies for success, and build a support network on campus.
During their first semester back at UNCG, students in ARS 120 will engage in one (1) Bounce Back Workshop and three (3) one-on-one sessions with an Academic Recovery coach. Students will also select an academic recovery track to complete during the semester. Components of the program focus on academic recovery strategies such as faculty connections, University resources, and strengths-based learning. The academic connections students build throughout the semester will be a valuable component of their individual UNCG support network and a critical part of their academic recovery journey.
Program benefits include:
- The opportunity to explore solutions to academic obstacles with peers
- Development of an academic and personal support network
