Academic Good Standing
Undergraduate, degree-seeking students must continually meet the requirements of the Academic Good Standing policy. Requirements are based on when you began your degree at UNCG.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00
- Earn a minimum 67% of their semester hours each term
- For students with fewer than 30 credit hours earned: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.75
- For students with 30 or more credit hours earned: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00
Failure to meet any of these requirements each term will result in academic warning, probation, suspension, or dismissal, which can have an additional impact on your academic plan or your ability to continue your enrollment at UNCG.
Advisors in the Students First Office are available to help you create a plan for academic success to stay on track in meeting the requirements for academic good standing.
You can read more about the Academic Good Standing policy in the Undergraduate Bulletin.
