Students will fall on Academic Warning if they earn less than 67% of their semester hours but successfully maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. Please note Academic Warning is separate (but closely related) to Financial Aid Warning. Academically, your pass rate is calculated at the conclusion of each semester. For Financial Aid, your pass rate is calculated cumulatively, over the entirety of your time at UNCG.
If you find yourself on Academic Warning, you will need to complete the following requirements:
- Participate in and successfully complete the Academic Resources & Knowledge (ARK) program during your next term of enrollment
- Earn a minimum 67% of your semester hours each term
- Maintain a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA
Failure to complete any of the previously mentioned requirements may result in Academic Probation. If you maintain a 2.00 cumulative GPA but do not earn 67% of your semester hours during your semester on Academic Warning, you will continue on Academic Warning for another semester.
You can read more about the Academic Warning policy in the UNCG Catalog.
