Academic Success Resources

  • The Math Help Center provides tutoring to UNCG students enrolled in 100-299 level MAT and STA courses.

  • The Speaking Center supports students in becoming more confident and competent communicators by providing collaborative consultation and feedback.

  • Student Support Services (SSS) is a TRiO program that provides individualized support in academic skills, financial literacy, graduate school guidance, and career coaching, and tutoring for eligible students.

  • The University Libraries provide an abundance of resources, including library item checkout (books, DVDs), study space reservations, technology checkout, research librarian support, citation guideline tutorials, and more.

  • The Writing Center provides students with constructive feedback during one-on-one consultations, intended to help students to improve their writing skills.

Campus Engagement Resources

  • CAP provides opportunities for students to create meaningful relationships, explore interests, and develop a sense of self and an appreciation for their community through involvement in campus programming, student groups, fraternity and sorority life, and the Student Government Association.

  • New Student Transitions and First Year Experience offers a variety of programs and resources for new students transitioning to UNC-Greensboro. 
  • NSTFYE coordinates the Your First Year traditions (1GNITE, NAV1GATE), YFY Success Series, Orientation programs (SOAR), transition courses (FYE), and peer support programs (PALS, SOS).

Financial Support Resources

  • The Cashier and Students Account Office assists students with tuition, billing and payment questions. 
  • This is the office that can help students resolve account holds that prevent registration or set up payment plans.

  • The Dean of Students Office assists students who may be experiencing transition, academic or personal difficulty, and any crisis or emergency situation. 
  • The Dean of Students Office will meet with students to discuss options, provide information about possible emergency funds, and get connected with resources and referrals related to mental health care, food and housing insecurity, and impact of bias.

  • The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships assists students with understanding the types of financial support available (loans, grants, work-study, scholarships) and navigating the financial aid application, award, and payment process.

  • Scholarship Universe is an innovative scholarship system designed to make your scholarship search seamless and comprehensive. Applications are available in early Spring for the following academic year.

Student Health and Wellbeing Resources

  • The Campus Violence Response Center confidential counseling and advocacy services and group support to currently enrolled UNCG students who have been victimized.
